The Yoga Center of Deerfield Beach, in partnership with JoAnn Evans, is delighted to offer, as a gift of soul to our students, a study group. We will be studying the Vedanta philosophy – the philosophy of oneness – which is the root teaching of Yoga from the Upanishads. Bring any relevant books for discussion, such as Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads or the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

Holistic Breathwork (also referred to as Rebirthing) is a technique to help us release emotional and physical tension while supporting our intention to heal. Through a deep connected breath our body releases stress and tension.

This workshop is for anyone prone to hip, knee and foot injuries. Erica Ando is a Guild-Certified Feldenkrais Practioner and NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer. In this workshop, the Feldenkrais Method exercises will be used to reduce strain on the hips, knees and feet. The exercises consist of movement sequences that will break down our habitual movements into parts and then improve on them. All prepaid registrations will include a pre-workshop phone consultation.  EXTENDED YOGA FUSION WORKSHOP facilitated by Sabah Michelle Sauod

Although this workshop uses a gentle approach fusing three different styles of yoga: Hatha, Iyengar with a pinch of Kundalini, some experience of yoga is essential. We will be using a concentrated breath technique throughout to center, calm and clear the mind working on strength, flexibilitiy and balance ending with a deep relaxation to allow the body to integrate the benefits of the movements.
